How often can children play?

Clubs differ on the number of playing opportunities they offer to children and junior members. Most clubs will allow juniors to use the practice facilities at most times, but you should always check ahead first. Also check:

  • What are the permitted playing times for your child?
  • Do I have to reserve a “tee-time”?
  • What are the green fees for juniors – are discounted junior rates or junior season passes available?
  • Does the child need to be accompanied by an adult to be on the course?
  • Is there a dress code?
  • How many coaching and instruction programs are available – weekly, monthly, summer, week-long programs, etc?
  • Does a parent or guardian need to be on the premises during coaching and instruction sessions?
  • Are there any clubhouse restrictions?
  • Are there specific junior locker room areas and food and beverage areas?
